When you pray, Use Not Vain Repetitions as the Heathen do. For its not by much speaking that you will be heard.
Mt 6:7: But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
A heathen is a person who is not a Christian (an unsaved non-believer).
When you pray, Use Not Vain Repetitions as the Heathen do
Many people think that by speaking much in prayers for many hours repeating themselves up is when God hears. And because this is how they think, its how the pray.
They are heathens.
What these people using vain repetitions do not understand is that;
- God is not deaf
‘I AM’ is not a deaf God; Jesus Christ is not deaf. He hears with the first word and you do not have to repeat yourself.
Before you speak He knows what you want to speak. He hears even when you speak in your mind and heart without opening your mouth. Before you ask, He knows what you want to ask Him.
Psalms 139:4: For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou know it altogether.
Mt 6:8: Be not therefore like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.
Many calling themselves Christians pray to God like He is deaf. They think by using vain repetitions and speaking much in prayers is when God hears.
They are indeed heathens. They lack faith to believe that God hears; that He is not deaf.
And because of lack of faith, they flatter God with their prayers. See the importance of faith
It is not by much speaking and vain repetitions in prayer that God hears.
Using vain repetitions in prayer is a sign of a heathen while standing shouting your prayers loud not in secrecy is a sign of hypocrisy.
See hypocrites stand shouting in streets and synagogues (churches)
Are/have you been a heathen, a hypocrite or a true bride of Jesus Christ?
There are religious institutions in name of churches were people are taught written prayers to cram and repeat them when they pray; Heathens!
Run away from these religious institutions. One of them is the last beast spoken by Daniel and John in the Book of Revelation. Come out of the beast.
I have heard of people say they were told to repeat severally certain written crammed prayers; Heathens!
I have seen people praying for long hours with much speaking but only using vain repetitions; Heathen!
I have seen many calling themselves Christians and servants of God pray with vain repetitions; Heathens!
Do you pray for long hours with much speaking but only repeating yourself? If yes, you are as the heathen.
Say few words straight to the point in prayer not much speaking with vain repetitions. It is heathens who use vain repetitions in prayer thinking that they will be heard by much speaking.
Do not cram prayers and repeat them day and night to God as heathens do.
Stop being a heathen.
For using vain repetitions and thinking that you shall be heard for speaking much, you receive not what you ask because you ask wrongly.
