I saw a gang in Mombasa killing
I saw their leader holding crude knives in his hands
Giving orders to gang members
I saw them kill men only
Because they claimed it is against their religion to kill women and children
The gang manned bus stations
In the night, I saw them kill pastors and burn churches
The people knew the gang members
Because they were among them
But for fear they could not name them
The government knew those killing
But they could not arrest them
I saw the Mombasa gang join a Nairobi gang
Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand
