There are 3 main levels of faith and different people are in different levels of faith in Jesus Christ (God).
The 3 main levels of faith
1. No faith (faithless)
2. Little faith (weak faith), and
3. Great faith (Faithful)
Let us look at each one of these separately.
No faith (faithless)
These people have no faith in the Word and they do not believe in Jesus Christ but they have faith in other things which they believe in.
Saints, we should be careful with the faithless because they deny and pervert the truth bringing out controversies, miss-placed ideologies and doctrines.
A good example of a faithless person is Thomas.
Thomas was a disciple of Jesus but when Jesus died he became faithless.
Reason he did not believe that Jesus had risen from the dead as He had said.
John: 20:27: Then he said to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Realize that after Thomas saw resurrected Jesus Christ, he became of great faith and an apostle of the church.
With no faith you cannot believe in God. You doubt the word of God and you are always fighting the word and God’s children.
Little faith (weak faith)
People of little faith doubt everything.
They doubt what they have heard, what they hear; the word of God and they are always struggling to believe in God.
With weak faith you can neither experience the power of God nor have an intimacy with Him and you doubt what the spirit tells you.
A good example of a doubtful person in the Bible is Peter.
Peter heard the word from Jesus to walk on the sea. He walked but on seen the wind he started doubting and then sinking. Jesus said this to him, ‘……..O man of little faith, why did you doubt?’ (Mt: 14:31)
If you have weak faith or little faith, you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, a doubter.
Doubters will never inherit the kingdom of heaven, for they are not of us: The Elect.
1 John 2:19: They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
Doubters according to the word have no faith at all
Rom: 14:23: And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
And because you are lukewarm you will not inherit God’s kingdom
Rev: 3:16: so, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, i will spew you out of my mouth.
People of little or weak faith are easily swayed away from the truth. Trials and temptations overcome them, they fall severally and continuously, always repenting and asking for forgiven.
If you doubt any God’s words, you are of little faith and damned.
Examine yourself;
In the 3 main levels of faith, where do you fall? Are you faithless or of little faith?
The 3rd level of faith; the faithful.
