The Spirit of Elijah does not Make you Elijah. Neither does Spirit of Moses make you Moses nor Spirit of Judah make you Judah.
The Spirit of Elijah Does Not Make You Elijah
When the Angel of the Lord came to Zachariah, speaking about the son Zachariah will have, he said, ‘He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah’ (Lk 1:17)
Jesus called John the Baptist Elijah saying, ‘he is the Elijah who was to came’ (Mt 11:14). Was John the Baptist Elijah? No!
When they asked John the Baptist, ‘are you Elijah?’, he answered, ‘No!’ (John 1:22).
John the Baptist knew that though he was operating in the Spirit of Elijah, he was not Elijah
What is the Spirit of Elijah?
The Spirit of Elijah is the Holy Spirit. When it is said ‘the Spirit of Elijah’ it means the functions and works the Holy Spirit did through Elijah.
Example; when God says to a person, ‘you are Elijah’ or ‘in the spirit and power of Elijah’ – it does not mean you are the Elijah of the Bible (don’t be a fool lacking understanding), it means the Holy Spirit will perform same functions and wonders as He did through Elijah.
Elisha too had the Spirit of Elijah like John the Baptist, but Elisha knew he was not Elijah neither did he claim to be.
Some people called Jesus Elijah
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He questioned His disciples: ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ They replied, ‘some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets’ (Mt 16:13-14, Mk 6:14-15).
Jesus is God, He is the Holy Spirit thus the Spirit of Elijah is Him.
See keenly that the Spirit of Elijah was with Elisha, John the Baptist and Jesus. John the Baptist was not Elijah, neither Elisha Elijah nor Jesus Elijah, and they all never claimed to be Elijah.
When Spiritually it is said ‘the Spirit of a servant of God’, it means the works and wonders the Holy Spirit performed through that vessel.
Example; when it’s said that you are ‘in the Spirit of Judah’, it means you are a man of War – do not make the mistake of claiming to be Judah.
When you study Bible further in the Holy Spirit, you will find that;
Noah was indeed at the beginning in the Spirit of Enoch
Isaac and Jacob at the beginning were in the Spirit of Abraham
Joshua was in the Spirit of Moses in the beginning of his journey leading the children of Israel
All men of war in the Bible, Joshua, Gideon, David, etc, were all under the Spirit of Judah (Man of War). Reason Jesus is called ‘the Lion of Judah’ – He is the Spirit of Judah
Paul at the beginning was in the Spirit of the Apostles mostly Peter
But these men of God never claimed to be whom they are not. Noah never claimed to be Enoch, Isaac and Jacob never claimed to be Abraham, Joshua never claimed to be Moses, Joshua David Gideon Samson never claimed to be Judah nor did Paul claim to be Peter.
Why?
Because the moment you claim to be whom you are not, you become a counterfeit and immediately cast out from God
Counterfeits are products of the enemy, Satan.
When Jesus died on the cross and resurrected, the enemy tried to counterfeite that too. At the end also we see Satan doing it when a man is killed and after 3 days resurrects and stands in the Jewish temple and says, ’I am Christ’ – indeed he will be a counterfeit of Christ Jesus thus Antichrist.
When a man claims to be whom he is not, that man is a counterfeit, an imitation, a lie.
Reason you see though at a time some men of God in the Bible operated in the Spirit of another servant, they never claimed to be that servant because they were wise.
One foolishness we have in the church today is counterfeiting; you hear a person call himself Job of the Bible, Esther, Elijah, Judah, etc, – it’s demonic.
When a servant of God accompanied by miracles signs and wonders becomes a counterfeit, immediately signs miracles and wonders cease. A counterfeit cannot preach Jesus Christ accompanied by Him (Mk 16:20).
Look at every counterfeit, those claiming to be whom they are not, those claiming to be Elijah Elisha Moses etc, even though some in the past might have been accompanied by miracles signs and wonders, today all has ceased – just dry wells.
And now comes the sad part, where the servant and the followers live in the past – they live by the signs miracles and wonders God performed in the past through that vessel while today there is nothing; a very dangerous religion!
When Spirit of God departs from a person like it happened to Saul, that temple becomes a spiritual host of demons.
Evaluate the doctrines of a counterfeit, any man claiming to be whom s/he is and you will find that the person is preaching teaching darkness, which though to the blind looks like light (because Satan transforms himself to a form of light).
A counterfeit only leads people to Satan. A counterfeit cannot lead a person to salvation, to Jesus.
If indeed they can do, Antichrist who is the counterfeit of Christ Jesus will lead people to Jesus, but we are know that cannot be. Antichrist will lead people to Satan.
Elijah the Person and the Spirit of Elijah are 2 different persons.
Elijah the Person is the man who was hairy, taken by chariots of fire to heaven – today in heaven. The Spirit of Elijah is the Holy Spirit – its Jesus.
Scripture tells us that Elijah the prophet will came before the dreadful day of the Lord
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the LORD. Elijah the prophet is the man Elijah not the Spirit of Elijah.
Before Jesus came to die on the cross, the angel who spoke to Zacharia told us that it was, ‘the spirit and power of Elijah’ to precede Jesus (Lk 1:17) not the prophet Elijah. And the man in the Spirit and power of Elijah was John the Baptist. John was not the prophet Elijah.
It is Elijah the prophet, Elijah the man, to come before the dreadful day of the Lord, not the Spirit of Elijah and Bible does not make that mistake. And for students of God, you know that’s why Elijah the prophet, Elijah the man, did not die.
The Spirit of Elijah does not make you Elijah
There is only one Elijah of the Bible – the rest are counterfeits
There is only one Moses of the Bible, one Elisha, one Judah, one Jeremiah, one Paul the Apostle – the rest are counterfeits
Counterfeits are products of Satan – they are indeed spiritual hosts of demons
Jesus is coming
