Where does the church (church age) lie in Daniel 70 weeks?
Israel is God’s time piece. Everything that happens to Israel is within the timing of God, to revealed time and seasons to us Christians. God tells us to watch Israel to know His timing and seasons.
Immediately after Jesus was crucified, God clock stopped. 69 weeks of the 70 weeks had passed and all what was prophesied to happen during the 483 years had come to pass as seen in the fulfilled weeks of Daniel 70 weeks, but there was still one week (7 years) left.
In the Bible, there are several instances when God clock stops. In the New Testament, Acts 15:13-18, we are given a hint that when God is dealing with the church, time ceases to exist for Israel.
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me. Simeon has declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, said the Lord, who does all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God (Acts 15:13-18).
Right now God is dealing with the church which is not part of the Daniel 70 weeks. Daniel seventy weeks are only for Israel and the holy city (Jerusalem) as seen in Dan 9:24. Know that although God is dealing with the church now, He has not neglected the Jews neither is He through with them nor does He not know their times.
A clear indication that the clock of God stopped is that the events foretold in Daniel 9:27 (the seventieth week of Daniel 70 weeks) simply have not happened yet.
Ignorant of Bible prophecy
Jesus held the Jews accountable for being ignorant and not knowing Bible prophecy. Jesus prophesied to them. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If you had known, even thou, at least in this your day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from your eyes. For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench about you, and compass you round, and keep you in on every side. And shall lay you even with the ground, and thy children within you; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because you knew not the time of you visitation (Lk 19:41-44).
When Jesus had ascended to heaven, the Romans came down, destroyed Jerusalem, wiped out the temple and the Jews where scattered all over the world (Jesus words fulfilled). For 2,000 years, the Jews were scattered all over the world but they did not loose their identity as Jews. Then a miracle happened in May 19th 1948. Immediately after the world war 11, the United Nations (UN) come together and declared Israel a nation and God clock started again.
The clock had stopped in 70AD because Israel ceased to be a nation (to exist), Israel being the only God time piece to man especially Christians. The God time running now during the church age, being revealed by the events happening to Israel today is not within the 70 weeks but God is revealing times and seasons specifically for and to the church (not for the Jews).
Last generation
Jesus defined the last generation of the world when revealing the signs of His second coming to His disciples. Lk 21:29-30: ‘Behold the fig tree, and all the trees. When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand’. In other words, the generation which sees the rebirth, the budding, of the fig tree is the last generation. Daniel seventieth week will unfold in that generation.
The fig tree is Israel. We are the generation which saw the rebirth of Israel in May 19th 1948. We are the last generation, the generation in which Jesus will rapture the church (Rapture as seeing in my vision) and the generation which will see the events of the seventieth week of Daniel. (I will expound as I give the timing and season of the rapture: Do not miss this).
So, the big question is:
Will the church be part of the seventieth week of Daniel?
No! Before the Anti-Christ appears, Jesus will ‘caught up’ (rapture) the church.
The church is not seeing in Daniel’s 69 weeks; it is all Jewish and Jerusalem. There is a big gap which separates the 69 weeks with the last week of the 70 weeks. From the time Christ was cut off until Daniel seventieth week is the church age. And the church will be removed, then the two eras (69 weeks and last week) will come together, then timing will go on with relation to Israel and Jerusalem as the prophecy says; ‘seventy week are determined for Israel and Jerusalem’ Daniel 9:24. The prophecy is strictly and entirely for Israel and Jerusalem not the church. The time running now is the time of the church.
Jews in the seventieth week (Tribulation Period)
Tribulation period is for two main purposes;
- For the Jews to realize Jesus, who they rejected and crucified is Messiah the Prince. Reason this period is also referred as Jacob’s trouble. In their trouble, Jesus will come down from heaven with the church to save the Jews and they will accept Him as their king and all Israel will be saved.
- For God to punish and pour His wrath on a disobedient rebellious world.
The time the prince of the people (Anti-Christ) rules the world, is the same time when God pours His wrath to the world (Tribulation). Therefore, the Tribulation period last for only one week (7 years) and as Apostle John gives out the sequence of events in the tribulation, he has given timings sticking accurately to seven years. An accurate clear prove of Daniel’s 70 weeks.
