Seek God with your money and riches too not only with your prayers, fastings, worshiping, praising, etc. Many people do not use their riches, their treasures to seek Jesus Christ and thus not their hearts.
Jer 29:13 You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart
Seek God With your money and Riches
Our hearts are where our money and riches are, where our treasures are.
Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. See where is your heart
This means that you cannot seek God with all your heart unless you seek Him with your treasures – with your money riches and resources.
It’s for this reason God said,
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust do corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up your treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Mt 6:19-21)
By laying your treasures in heaven, God’s throne (Isa 66:1), you are using your treasures to seek Him.
Abraham used whatsoever he treasured to seek God even not hiding his only son from God
The widow used what she treasured before the famine to feed Elijah reason she said,
I don’t have any bread – only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it – and die (1 Kings 17:12)
The sinful woman used her treasures for an expensive ointment, went to seek Jesus and found Him – she not only was forgiven, delivered, but when the gospel is preached, she is mentioned (Lk 7:36-50).
Your heart is in your treasure and you will never use your treasures to seek Jesus Christ and never find Him for that is seeking Him with all your heart
When the young man came to Jesus, he confessed he has kept all commandments of God (Mt 19:20), and Jesus said unto him
‘If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven, and come follow me’ (Mt 19:21)
Why did Jesus say this to the young man?
Because where your treasure is, there is your heart – this young man’s heart was in his possession and he was not seeking God with all his heart reason after hearing what Jesus told him, he walked away sad as written
When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth (Mt 19:22)
You can keep all commandments of God, fast, pray, etc, but all these things are vanity if you are not seeking Jesus with all your heart by using your treasures – a human heart is not in the things s/he does but in his/her treasures (money, riches, wealth, etc).
Though this young man kept all commandments, his great possession hindered him from salvation
If the widow who fed Elijah could hold on to her treasure and not feed Elijah, she could have cooked her last meal, ate with her son and died as she spoke
Money riches wealth valuable and all treasures can hinder you from seeking and finding Jesus Christ
Like the young man, many people today are doing all deeds; keeping God commandments, praying, fasting, worshiping, praising, doing charitable deeds, confessing Jesus, etc, but they are not seeking Jesus with their treasures (money and riches), thus all their hearts.
Many today are seeking Jesus Christ with their minds and mouths not their hearts – your heart is in your treasures not things you confess or do.
Seeking Jesus Christ without your treasures is seeking Him not with all your heart
In Jesus Christ, not only do we seek Him with our money riches and all treasures, thus all our heart, but we are ready to lose our life for His sake like the apostles.
If you cannot lose your treasure for Him, you cannot lose your life for His sake, you cannot seek Him with all your heart, and you cannot gain Him (Philip 3:8)
Reason the first test when you come to Jesus Christ is to lose everything, all you treasure and follow Him. But many of us have hold on to our treasures not willing to lose them to gain Jesus Christ.
As I told you, it’s when a person loses everything s/he treasures, when that person seeks Jesus with all his heart. Do not wait for God to take away what you treasure for you to seek Him with all your heart.
Jesus does not give us money and riches to fatten ourselves, by cars, houses, showoff and boast in the name of blessings, etc, but He gives us to;
- Invest in Him and His kingdom. See invest in God with your money and riches
- To facilitate you to run physically to Him. See there is time to pray and time to run physically meet Jesus Christ
Love gives, love is giving. You cannot say you love God and you do not give Him
Jesus loved us even before the foundations of the earth – not only did He give us healing, deliverance, warfare weaponry against the enemy, etc, He became a man (Second Adam), was tortured and bruised for our sake even giving His life for our sake; that is LOVE
Loving God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind (Mt 22:37) means seeking Him with your money and riches, laying yourself treasures in heaven.
You cannot say you love God with all your heart, yet you do not seek Him with your money and riches
Many people today love of God is in the head and lips not in their hearts.
You have been seeking Jesus; praying, fasting, ‘going to church’, doing charitable deeds, etc, and yet you have not found Him, you are yet to receive healing, answers, deliverance, see His power miracles and wonders – have you tried seeking Him with your treasures to, with your money and riches?
Seek God with your money and riches too
Use your treasures to seek Jesus Christ
Do not let them hinder and shut you from seeking and finding Jesus Christ
For where your treasure is, there is your heart
Jesus is Coming
Repent Repent Repent
Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
