Satan is a spirit in people. He has a spiritual body not a human fleshly body and he can dwell in and use any person or anything. Satan is a spirit.
As I grew up I was taught that Satan has horns, ugly, dresses badly, etc – many of us were taught like me but this notion in our minds is not true.
Who is Satan
Satan is a spiritual being – he is a spirit.
God created Angels and Satan was one of the Angels.
Ezekiel reveals to us that Satan was the covering Cherub (Cherubim). Cherubs are types of heavenly angels.
Ezek 28:14-15, 17: You were the anointed cherub that covers; and I established you: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor: I cast you to the ground.
Satan was beautiful and he is beautiful and wise but his wisdom is corrupted.
Angels have spiritual not human bodies thus Satan has a spiritual body. We humanity will get a spiritual body when we rise from the dead – we will be like angels which are in heaven.
Mk 12:25: For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
A sneak preview of this spiritual body is seen with Jesus. When Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, He had a spiritual body not the human body He had before He died.
Walls could not hinder Jesus. He could appear and vanish yet humans could see Him, touch and feel His body (remember Thomas).
This is the body Angels have. Satan was an Angel and he has this spiritual body. But Angels are limited in their glory and power while Jesus Christ is not.
Satan totally lacks glory. He has a counterfeit (false) glory.
Jesus Christ could pass through walls, could pass through human bodies and dwell in them. Reason the Holy Spirit dwells in bodies of humans (the temple of God) making a person a church.
In the same manner, Satan can pass through human bodies and dwell in them – posses them.
Jesus Christ has His Holy Angels. Satan has his evil angels called demons.
Satan is a Spirit in People
Satan and his demons enter and possess bodies of human beings using them to achieve his agenda. We see this severally in the Bible.
When the Spirit of God left Saul, Satan entered Him.
1 Sam 16:14: But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
Satan entered Judas Iscariot
Lk 22:3: Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot
Satan entered Peter
Mt 16:22 -23: Then Peter took Him aside, and began to rebuke Him, saying, ‘Be it far from you, Lord: this shall not be unto you’. But he turned, and said unto Peter, ‘Get behind me, Satan: you are an offence unto me: for you are not mindful of the things of God, but those of men.

When Jesus looked at Peter, He did not see Peter but saw Satan who had entered Peter and He addressed Satan directly not Peter.
From the story of Peter we learn something.
Satan will is to fight the Will of God. He enters human bodies and uses them to fight the Will of God.
It was God’s Will for Jesus to be crucified on the cross and Jesus knew His father’s Will and Satan entered Peter to fight this Will.
Through the years of serving Jesus Christ, I have come across many people who Satan enters to fight God’s Will.
Every time a person speaks/does against God’s Will, I am able to look at the person and see Satan using that person.
Satan comes in form of a person who is against God’s Will or the gospel.
As a True Bride of Christ and a True God servant you must know God’s will for your life that when another person, be it a God servant or not comes to speak, do or lead you against God’s Will, you are able to see Satan in that person like Jesus saw Satan in Peter.
The problem was not Peter but the Satan in him. The problem is not that person; the problem is the Satan in the person.
One thing I was taught and I always teach God servants is – never argue with Satan.
The time you start arguing Satan who is in form of a human being, you are opening yourself to Satan to bring you down.
Satan mainly fights God’s Will; God’s Will for your life and the gospel. Therefore if you see a person against these 3 things, it is Satan in the person.
I prophecy and every time God reveals something to me to reveal, some people rise up and speak against the prophecy saying, ‘It will not be’, ’that is not God’, etc. I look and see Satan in them and I just say, ‘Get behind me Satan’.
Demons possess and dwells in people to hinder them from fulfilling God’s Will. These demons include diseases, blindness, etc.
One Will of Jesus Christ and through all is God servants is to free people from Satan (demons) dwelling in them. And it is for this reason Jesus healed, casted out demons, etc and sends His servants to do the same.
Mostly, Satan does not appear to humans in form of a spiritual being but in form of a human being – him dwelling in and using a person. Satan is a spirit in people.
Any person can be used by Satan – even those close to you. It is up to you to know when Satan is inside that person using him/her.
When a person does/speaks against God’s Will for your life, against Jesus Christ and the gospel, that is Satan in that person.
