Satan uses 3 deadly traps to get man into his camp; into sin.
You have seen three things in the world leading to hell.
Satan only used these 3 deadly traps to tempt Jesus and he does the same to you and me.
3 deadly Satan Traps
The 3 deadly Satan traps are;
1. Flesh
See the difference between the body, soul and spirit in the moving hand not attached to a body touching me.
Satan knowing that Jesus had gone forty days and forty nights with no food, he had first to tempt Him by feeding His flesh the same way he tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Mt 4:2-4: And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward hungry. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
The devil knows that man’s flesh is not satisfied (content) and is always lusting for more (the lusts of flesh).
Many people think that living or being alive is because they have clothes, eat and sleep well. The devil will use these three top body primary needs to get you into his command and control.
Put it in your mind that life is more than food, clothing and shelter and you will stand strong like Jesus when tempted.
2. Tempting God
Satan then directed Jesus to tempt God.
Mt 4:5-7: Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and settled him on a pinnacle of the temple, And said unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time you dash you foot against a stone.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.
The devil tells us to tempt God and many of us obey him. We then fall terribly into his trap and he is happy to bruise us.
See you shall not tempt the Lord your God
3. Discontentment
Discontentment is a clear pathway for Satan to capture and place you under his command.
Satan gave Jesus all what is in the world but because Jesus was content, He fell not.
Mt 4:8-10: Again, the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them and said unto him, All these things will I give you, if you wilt fall down and worship me.
Then said Jesus unto him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, you shall worship the Lord you God, and him only shall you serve.
If you are not content, you want to own the whole world, all what is in the world, you are on your way to falling into Satan worship.
Satan is the owner and the prince of this world, and for you to acquire the world, you have to worship him. Many people are worshiping Satan with or without their knowledge.
Look at you shall have no other God before me and you shall not make to you any graven image.
Being content is the only key to not fall into Satan worship.
Holy Spirit vs. evil spirit
When faced by a trial or temptation, the Holy Spirit directs us into the right way. He talks with a voice which Christians hear.
There are always two voices fighting inside and within us. It is up to us to allow the right spirit (Holy Spirit) to dominate.
When we allow Holy Spirit to take control of us, no darkness is seen in us because the evil spirit cannot dwell in the same place with the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit has power over the evil spirit.
The action which we then take to deal with trials depend on the spirit in control. If you allow the evil spirit to dominate you, you will terribly fall into sin but if you allow the Holy Spirit, He will rescue you from falling into the temptation.
The difference between different individuals is about the spirit they allow to take control of them (which spirit to obey).
The Holy Spirit warns and tells us of a trial even before it happens, and He shows us the right steps to take.
But because of our disobedience, we obey Him not but walk in our own ways obeying the evil spirit. We sink deep and drown in sin. When we realize that we have fallen, we start calling God to rescue us whom we had already denied Him.
God bless
