Crown of rejoicing is one of the types of crowns in heaven. Crown of rejoicing is a reward to saints for their life time work on earth awarded in the judgment seat of Christ.
1 Th 2:19: For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
What is the crown of rejoicing?
As said in crowning of saints, crowns are not things we will wear on our heads and parade with.
Crown of rejoicing is where God wipes out all tears, bitterness, sorrow, crying, death, pain etc forever as prophesied.
Rev 21:4: God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Re 7:17: For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
We also see prophet Isaiah prophesying of the crown of rejoicing.
Isa 51:11: Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
Isa 25:8: He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it.
There is no joy in the world
Let no person lie to you that there is joy or happiness in the world. The world is all full of pain, sorrow, bitterness, stress, crying, mourning, tears etc and we are always groaning and travailing.
Rom 8:22 – 23: For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
We see Apostle Paul stating his sufferings in this world proofing that there is no joy at all.
2 Cor 11:25-27: Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep, In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren. In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
As seen in honor your father and your mother, the world is the wilderness which the children of Israel journeyed through to the Promised Land. The wilderness, figurative of the world, is full of problems and no joy but the Promised Land, figurative of heaven, is full of joy.
I wonder why some people want to live long in this world (wilderness). I do not want to live long in this world of problems but I want to live long in the Promised Land; Heaven.
Every person in heaven will have everlasting joy after God wipes out all tears from their eyes and this is the crown of rejoicing.
Crown of rejoicing is only attained by salvation thus every person saved will be crowned crown of rejoicing. Psalms 35:9: And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. Salvation is only by grace through faith.
People who did not accept Jesus Christ, who blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, will be cast in the lake of fire where there is no joy.
Stand strong, guard your salvation and do not let world problems and sufferings take away your crown of righteousness and crown of rejoicing.
God bless.
