Rev 13 reveals 2 beasts; one beast rising up out of the sea and another beast coming up out of the earth. Who are these beasts and what will they do?
Rev 13 – Beast Rising up out of the Sea & Beast Coming up out of the Earth
Using the FIRST MENTION PRINCIPLE, ‘beasts’ are first mentioned in the Bible by Daniel and he defines and describes the beasts. See Daniel dream of 4 beasts
Daniel beasts are the same beasts as the beasts of Revelation.
1. Beast Rising up out of the Sea
Rev 13:1: And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
The sea represents world nations while the sand of the sea are the people of the world nations (Rev 17:15).
In Daniel’s dream of the beasts, the 7 heads and 10 horns of this beast are explained. Daniel says,
Dan 7:24: And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
From Daniel, we know that Antichrist is rising from the New Resurrected Roman Empire (EU), within the Big Ten, but in his rise he will pluck out 3 nations thus the 7 heads. To proof that Antichrist is rising today, we have seen one nation part of the Big Ten knocked out of the European Union; Britain. See Brexit and Bible prophecy.
This beast who plucks up 3 nations, in Daniel he is called the ‘little horn’ (Dan 7). The ‘little horn’ rising up in the EU as prophesied by Daniel is the same beast talked off in Rev 13 – the beast rising up out of the sea. This beast is the Antichrist.
Daniel prophesied Antichrist prototype who rose in about 175 B.C (Dan 11:21-34) – Antiochus Epiphanes. See Antiochus Epiphanes prototype of Antichrist.
Antiochus Epiphanes was referred to as ‘Theos Epiphanes’. ‘Theos’ meaning ‘god’ and ‘Epiphanes’ meaning manifested. Thus ‘Theos Epiphanes’ is ‘god manifested’ – a name of blasphemy.
As Antiochus Epiphanes, the prototype of Antichrist had a name of blasphemy, so will Antichrist as revealed in Rev 13:1 … and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Though antichrist will speak blasphemous words against the Most High God as prophesied in Daniel and Revelation, he will also have a blasphemous name
Antichrist is described as a beast like a leopard, his feet as the feat of a bear and mouth as mouth of a lion.
Rev 13:2: And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
In Daniel’s dream of the beasts (Daniel 7), the first beast was like a lion (Babylon Empire), second like a bear (Medes and Persian) and the third like a leopard (Greece). We see this beast in Rev 13 combining all the characteristics of Daniel 4 beasts.
Antichrist will have combined characteristics of Babylon Empire led by Nebuchadnezzar (beast like a lion), Medes and Persian Empire (Beast like a bear) and Greece led by Alexander the great (beast like a leopard). See Daniel dream of 4 beasts.
… and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority (Rev 13:2). Dragon is Satan as seen in Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan
Antichrist will be powered, given authority and his seat by Satan.
Apostle Paul confirms this by saying, the coming of the Lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders (2 Thess 2:9)
Antichrist will be wounded and healed as prophesied
Rev 13:3: And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world marveled after the beast.
This will be at the end of the first 3 ½ years of the 7 year great tribulation period when Antichrist is wounded and miraculously healed leading the whole world to marvel. Antichrist first rises as a man of peace in the first 3 ½ years but when he is wounded and healed, we believe it’s when antichrist receives power from Satan transforming him to the real beasts he is for the next 3 ½ years.
Because of him being wounded and miraculously healed, leading the entire world to marvel, world will turn to worship him
Rev 13:4: And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?’
By worshiping antichrist, they will be worshiping Satan as said, ‘and the worshiped the dragon … (Rev 13:4). Because it is Satan who will be powering Antichrist.
When Antichrist receives power from Satan, he will immediately go after Israel to wipe them out of the face of earth but since God will carry them with eagle wings hide them from Antichrist, he will go against the gentiles who refuse to claim allegiance to him and prevail against them as said, and it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all tribes, and tongues, and nations (Rev 13:7). Daniel also prophesied Antichrist prevailing against great tribulation saints as said Dan 7:21: I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them
Antichrist will blasphemy the Most High God
Rev 13:5-6: And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Antichrist blasphemy of the Most High God is also prophesied by Daniel
Dan 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the Most High
From the time Antichrist receives power from Satan which we believe is the time he is wounded and miraculously healed, to Jesus Christ coming equals 42 months which is 3 ½ years as prophesied, …power was given unto him to continue forty and two months’ (Rev 13:5). Daniel prophesied that Antichrist will war saints until the Ancient of Days come (Dan 7:21-22) which Revelation tells us that the period is only 42 months (3 ½ years)
Antichrist will blaspheme God, His tabernacle and those who dwell in heaven as prophesied, ‘And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven’ (Rev 13:6).
Antichrist is the person who will make Middle East sign a peace treaty allowing the building of the Third temple. See the third temple prophecy. This will be in the first 3 ½ years of the 7 year great tribulation period when Antichrist rises as a false man of peace. See who the Antichrist is.
But when he receives power from Satan in about the end of the first 3 ½ years of the 7 year great tribulation period, Antichrist will rise against the temple blaspheming God. Blaspheming of the tabernacle (temple) is what is called Abomination of the Desolate.
As seen in Daniel prophecy, Antichrist will cause Abomination of the Desolate as Antiochus Epiphanes who was a prototype of the Antichrist did.
When Antichrist cause the abomination of the desolate, it will be time to run as Jesus prophesied,
Mt 24:15-19: When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
When the Abomination of the Desolate takes place in the temple, the great tribulation period will be as never seeing before since the beginning of the world because Antichrist will war the Jews and saints and at the same time God will be pouring His wrath on earth – this is what is called the great tribulation period.
Mt 24:21: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
The saints Antichrist prevails against in the great tribulation period are they referred to as ‘tribulation saints’. They will be martyred for Jesus Christ sake and see heaven.
Why will they have to be martyred? Because grace will have ended and they have to shed their own blood for Christ sake to see heaven.
Entire earth will worship antichrist (Satan) but this saints will chose to die than worship him and he will martyr them all.
Those who will be martyred by the Antichrist are only gentiles because Jews will have been hidden from the Antichrist by God. Gentile salvation is in the grace dispensation while the great tribulation period is for Jews only (Jacob’s trouble).
If you gentiles will not be saved in grace period which we are today, you will have to be martyred for Christ sake during the great tribulation period to see heaven otherwise accept mark of the beast (Antichrist), claiming allegiance to Satan and perish.
Time for gentile Salvation is now
Accept Jesus Christ Now
Jesus is Coming
Great Tribulation is at hand
Repent Repent Repent
Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
