Altar call is a religious salvation lie. No person is ever saved through an ‘Altar Call’.

Altar is the place of sacrifice, offering, shedding of blood – the place of Death and Life.
An altar is located inside of a temple – it’s part of the temple. In the Old Testament temple, the altar was inside. In the New Testament, New Covenant, since God no longer dwells in things made with human hands, our bodies are His temple, thus the altar is in our bodies.
The place of death, life, sacrifice, offering, etc, to God is my heart – my heart is God’s Altar and the body His temple.
God does not want your money, riches, wealth, sacrifices, offerings, tithes, works, etc, – He wants your heart; a relationship.
We are living in the New Covenant but religiously people have built altars. Are those altars of God? No!
In the Old Testament temple, there was no ‘altar call’. Even the Scripture itself (Bible) has nothing called ‘altar call’.
When God Himself (Jesus) was walking on earth preaching, He never had an ‘Altar call’.
Have you ever seen Jesus tell people, ‘those who want to be saved raise your hands’, ‘those who want to be saved came forward’, ‘those who want to be saved repeat this words after me’, ‘those who want to saved come forward I lay My hands on you’, etc,? No! Jesus never did this.
When unsaved Nicodemus went to Jesus, do you see Jesus calling him for an ‘altar call’? Do you see Jesus calling peter and all his disciples for an ‘altar call’?
Where did people get these things from?
We are not saved by repeating prayer from another man (God hates repetitions). We are not saved by being laid hands on and prayed for. We are not saved by walking infront of the congregation like rained sheep with our hands up on air, etc.
Salvation is a personal decision and its attained not in an ‘altar call’ but in private, in secret between you and God for our God is in secret (Mt 6).
Salvation is a personal decision you make, not influenced by others, your emotions or feelings, it’s a choice you make, then you walk alone to the Savior to sincerely offer yourself to Him (you and Him alone in secret).
You were born alone, you will die alone, heaven or hell you will go alone, thus salvation is a personal decision made and attained alone.
Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers cannot save you whether they lay hands on you, pray for you, repeat prayers after them, preach to you, etc, – they cannot save you.
A human being cannot save another human being. There is only One Savior, Jesus Christ – He is the Salvation
What Jesus Christ servants do is preach! Whether you run to the Savior for salvation or Not, it has nothing to do with them. That is a personal decision.
God servants are not called to save people.
They are called to (Eph 4);
- Equip Jesus people for work of service
- Build them up to reach unity in the Faith and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ
- To become mature
- To attain the whole measure of the fullness of Christ
Saving humans is the work of Jesus Christ alone
‘Altar calls’ are humans trying to save fellow humans – it’s a lie!
As a servant of Jesus, I can point you to Salvation Himself (Jesus) whether you go to Him or not, that’s your personal decision – it has nothing to do with me.
No matter how much I preach, I teach, no matter how many signs miracles and wonders you see, being saved is a personal decision you must make yourself alone with Jesus. Following Jesus sincerely is a personal choice you make yourself alone with Jesus. Joshua cannot save you, neither can any man.
And when you are already in Christ Jesus, a God servant will hold your hand and walk with you. The Master Shepherd identifies His sheep to His servants.
Many today’s salvation is through ‘altar calls’. When you hear a person say ‘I am saved‘, it’s because they hearkened to an ‘altar call’, a certain human being laid hands on them and prayed for them unto salvation – that is religious and a lie. You are not saved.
Another religious salvation today is ‘water baptism’. John Baptism with water saved no one; indeed, it was unto repentance not salvation. Salvation is Jesus alone.
Because you ‘go to church’, a member of a certain religious organization, etc, doesn’t mean you are saved. Even Satan and demons ‘go to church’.
If ‘altar call’ is not of Jesus but demonic, and you went for an altar call and was laid hands on or done witchcraft in the name of salvation, do you think you indeed need deliverance for Christ Jesus salvation?
