There are 2 major types of anointing; in and upon. What is the difference between the 2?
Anointing is done by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor
The Spirit of the Lord is the Holy Spirit – He is the anointing
The 2 Major Types of Anointing – In and Upon
1. Anointing In
Anointing in makes a person the Bride of Christ. It is the dwelling in of the Holy Spirit in a person – the baptism with the Holy Spirit
John: 14:17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him dwells in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him (John 2:27)
The anointing who dwells in us is the Holy Spirit
A temple (body of human) in whom the Holy Spirit dwells in is a Bride of Christ – a church
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Anointing in can be lost. Yes! You can get it and loose it.
You can be a Bride of Christ this minute and the next minute be not – be a devil.
You name can be written in the Book of Life and be deleted.
There is nothing like once saved always saved – it is a lie
In heaven, names are being added and deleted from the Book of Life.
When your name is deleted from the Book of Life, you can come back to Jesus Christ, receive the Holy Spirit and your name be written again

There are things which make the anointing in (Holy Spirit) depart. They include;
- Sin
- Worldliness
- Rebellion
- Unrepentant (pride) – a pride person never repents
Which of the 4 are you in which has made the Holy Spirit (anointing in) depart?
You cannot be in the above and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you – it is a lie. You cannot be wallowing in sin, worldly, rebellious and unrepentant and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you.
Not every person who has the Holy Spirit dwelling in him/her – not every person is anointed in – not every person is a Bride of Christ. Majority are devils; for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leads to destruction.
Mt 7:13-14: Enter you in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate, and difficult is the way, which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
2. Anointing upon
Anointing upon is also called anointing on
Anointing upon is the clothing with power for preaching of the gospel – it is for service; baptism with fire
But you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you (Acts 1:8)
Anointing upon, the clothing with power, is the anointing Jesus told His disciples to go wait in Jerusalem (Lk 24:49).
Jesus Christ does not send His servants without power. Any person preaching Jesus Christ gospel without power has not being send by Jesus Christ
Anointing upon (baptism with fire) is done specifically for those to be on the forefront in the warfare between the kingdom of heaven and kingdom of darkness. See what the kingdom of heaven is
The warfare between the kingdom of heaven and kingdom of darkness is a warfare of power. Reason you must be clothed with power before being send out to preach the gospel – to warfare grounds with the kingdom of darkness
Anointing upon (power) cannot be lost. They only way to lose it is through death.
It is for these reason God said, ‘do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm’ (1 Chron 16:22). God was speaking about those anointed upon; those clothed with power
A person can be anointed upon but not be anointed in – a person can preach with power but not be a Bride of Christ because s/he has lost the in anointing
The first anointing to receive is the in anointing then the anointing upon. Some people who receive the anointing upon (power) loose the anointing in (being Bride of Christ) which the received first and are only left with anointing upon (power).
If you lose the anointing in you are not a Bride of Christ even if you have the anointing upon.
It is for these reason Jesus said
Mt 7:22-23: Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And in Your name have cast out devils? And in Your name done many wonderful works? And then will I declare unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity’.
Many people have preached the gospel with power, signs miracles and wonders accompanying them, but they are in hell
Preaching the gospel with power does not guarantee you heaven.
King Saul was anointed by God to be king (1 Sam 15) but when he sinned, the Spirit of the LORD departed from him (1 Sam 16:14).
1Sam 16:14: But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
Later we see David could not touch Saul for he was anointed?
1Sam 26:11: The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against the LORD’s anointed
The Spirit of the Lord which left Saul in 1 Sam 15 was the anointing in. Saul still had the anointing upon reason David could not touch him.
David knew they only way for Saul to lose anointing upon is through death reason he said,
1Sam 26:10: David said furthermore, ‘As the LORD lives, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish’
It is only God to bring death to those anointed upon and gone astray.
When a servant of God sins and does not run fast to repent, s/he loses the anointing in, stops being the Bride of Christ, but the anointing upon is still on him/her – only death cuts the anointing upon.
A person who has anointing upon and rebels God must die – be killed by God
When you lose the anointing in, this equals hell.
Anointing upon is for service – Jesus Christ power. The working of this power is not conditioned to whether a person is a sinner or no (but remember in sin you cannot receive it).
It is for this reason you see people who were powered but went astray (wallowing in sin and worldliness) still preaching with power, with signs miracles and wonders and the solution is only death.
To receive power, you must first have the anointing in but later people lose the anointing in and the anointing upon does not go therefore they still preach with power though dead in sin heading to hell
Sometimes God does not do miracles signs and wonders because of the servant He called but because of the people. A person can be called, get lost and still miracles and signs be seen accompanying him/her – it is because God is doing them for His people not because of the person called. That person called is only awaiting hell.
You can preach the gospel with all signs wonders and miracles yet perish – got to hell
You can receive and see all miracles of Jesus Christ and yet perish – go to hell
When God calls you and powers you and you go astray, that power will kill you – God power kills
It is for this reason I say, if you are not called, stay being a Bride of Christ because if you receive His power and sin, this power will kill you and you will go to hell
Remember;
Anointing in makes us the Bride of Christ, anointing upon is clothing with power for service
Anointing in can be lost, anointing upon cannot be lost
